Cobalt nickel sulfide is a mixed transition metal sulfide used in electrochemical systems where controlled redox behavior and thermal stability are important. In thermal batteries, cobalt nickel sulfide compositions can serve as cathode active materials, with performance influenced by cobalt to nickel ratio, phase composition, particle size, and purity. Related nickel cobalt sulfides are also studied more broadly for battery electrodes, supercapacitors, and electrocatalysis because their mixed metal chemistry can support multiple oxidation states and relatively high electronic conductivity. Cobalt nickel sulfide is available as a 99.9 pure (trace metal basis) powder and can be prepared in different compositions and physical forms to suit specific electrochemical and processing requirements.
