Lithium Ion Batteries

Lorad manufactures inorganic materials for conventional lithium ion batteries as well as emerging solid state battery chemistries. The portfolio includes lithium cobalt oxide, LCO, lithium iron phosphate, LFP, nickel manganese cobalt oxide, NMC, nickel cobalt aluminum oxide, NCA, lithium lanthanum zirconate, LLZO, lithium sulfide, and a range of lithium salts and precursor materials. Lorad's role extends beyond catalog supply, with experience in custom synthesis, composition development, particle processing, and scale up of battery materials. Depending on the chemistry, important requirements can include cation stoichiometry, phase purity, trace metals, particle size distribution, and control of oxygen or moisture sensitive constituents.
